ECAC Officiating Payment Service Update

ECAC’s Official Payment Service was supposed to make the first payment to officials for the 2007 season on October 10, 2007. According to ECAC, quite a few of their subscribing institutions did not fund ECAC by October 10, 2007. Consequently, ECAC failed to meet their first scheduled payment deadline.

ECAC is currently reviewing their accounts and will provide a revised payment schedule and plan. We will post updates here as they become available.

Ejection Procedures

As a reminder, if you are the ECAC assigned referee and have to terminate the game or eject a player, make sure you fill out and submit the ECAC ejection/termination online form. In addition, you have to fill out and submit the Supplemental Ejection report. If the ejection is for fighting, you must notify the Region 2 coordinator, Neil Edkins via email. You can download these forms and view these links in the Library and Documents section of our web site.

ECAC Game Site Conflicts

Since the ECAC assigning process here in the NY Metro area does not generate email reminders, conflicts will happen, we recommend the assigned referee contact the home team’s athletic administration department by phone, confirm the game site and contact the other assigned officials with the latest information. Remember, voice messages or email must be confirmed by the recipient. Everyone is responsible to positively confirm all pre-game communications.
