At the August 23, 2008 mandatory rules clinic, Alan Wharton presented two separate, proposed constitutional amendments regarding business meetings. They are:
1. An official who is assigned to work a Collegiate Soccer game on the night of a scheduled business meeting shall be excused from that meeting and be given credit for that meeting.
2. The annual dinner will be considered a business meeting.
In addition to these two proposals, the Executive Board will request discussion of the following administrative constitutional amendment:
Change Article 4, paragraph 1: “Elections shall take place with nominations brought to the floor at the fourth business meeting of that year.”
to:
“Elections shall take place at a scheduled business meeting. Nominations shall be brought to the floor at the business meeting immediately prior to the elections.”
This notice satisfies the requirement for written notification to the membership. These proposals will be discussed at the September 10, 2008 business meeting and, if approved, voted upon at the September 23, 2008.

Business meetings start promptly at 7:30 PM and are held at the Knights of Columbus hall at 1000 Marcus Ave, New Hyde Park, New York. Members who attend other rules interpretation meetings are required to attend three of the four scheduled business meetings to meet the NISOA requirement to attend 3 business meetings. Since the Chapter does conduct a business meeting after the rules interpretation is complete, members attending the NY Metro ISOA rules interpretation meeting satisfy the 3 meeting requirement. Generally, the Executive Board will give members who attend rules interpretation meetings hosted by the New Jersey Metro ISOA, New England ISOA, or the NISOA Referee Training Camp credit for attending one scheduled business meeting.
The Westchester/Rockland NISOA chapter will conduct their rules interpretation meeting on (see below for updates) Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be at Kennelly’s Grill House at 962 S Route 9W, Congers NY. Space available for guests is extremely limited and is on a first-come, first served basis. You must fill out this form to contact the Westchester/Rockland chapter.
NY Metro ISOA members who attend this (or any other non-NY Metro ISOA) rules interpretation meeting are required to attend three of the four scheduled business meetings to meet the NISOA requirement to attend 3 business meetings.
Our chapter welcomes all NISOA members and other guests to our annual rules clinic. We would like to ask our guests and members of other chapters who want to attend our rules interpretation clinic to fill out this form. Your cooperation will help us properly plan for the event. Active members of the NY Metro ISOA chapter should not submit the guest form.
Several nearby NISOA chapters post their meeting schedules on their respective web sites. Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and New England have announced their testing and clinic schedules. The Westchester/Rockland chapter will have their NISOA fitness test on June 6 which coincides with our fitness test. They have not announced a makeup date for the fitness test nor scheduled their annual rules interpretation meeting yet.
