The ECAC now requires new officials to apply for ECAC membership and pay an application fee of $75. New chapter members should fill out this form to officiate ECAC assigned games. This requirement does not apply to veteran officials who have previously officiated ECAC assigned games.
The Atlantic 10 Conference has changed their assigning software to AssignByWeb. Members who have previously accepted Atlantic 10 assignments for the 2007 season must log on to the new site and reconfirm their assignments as soon as possible. Problems should be directed to the Atlantic 10 assignor, Nick Cinquanto or you can leave a comment here.
Due to technical issues associated with ECAC’s switch to their new assigning software, Alan Wharton, the ECAC’s metro NY area assignor is using AssignByWeb as his primary assigning tool. All members need to register at his AssignByWeb page and fill out the registration request. When your registration is approved by Alan, you will receive a confirmation email with your user name and password. Members will need to accept their assignments and keep their availability up to date on Alan’s AssignByWeb site.
Members will also have to accept their assignments on the main ECAC assigning site for payment purposes. If you don’t accept your assignments on the ECAC site, you are going to have payment issues.
Technical and procedural questions should be directed to Alan.
The latest information from ECAC indicates their assignments for the upcoming soccer season will be released on their web site no later than July 27, 2007.
The new ECAC Official assigning web page is now live. The ECAC recommends you log on and immediately change your user name and password. Your default user name is your social security number and the default password is the last 4 digits of your social security number.
Officials registered with ECAC received the following information from Steve Rossetti at ECAC regarding their pending change of assigning software:
ATTENTION: NEW OFFICIALS. If you were a new ECAC official after July 1, 2006, please notify Steve Rossetti at the ECAC with your email address, SS#, home address, phone numbers, so they can all be entered into the new system under your name.
ATTENTION: INACTIVE OFFICIALS. If you were an inactive official during the 2005-2006 school year, you need to notify Steve Rossetti so that he can activate you and update your personal data in the system.
New officials may use this form to get this information to Steve so you can receive ECAC assignments this season.
Please download the 2007 ECAC availability sheet (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) and return it to Alan Wharton via fax or US Mail as soon as possible. Cross off the dates you are not available and identify any special requirements you may have.
