In Memoriam; Ray Wolfe

The Executive Board and members of the NY Metro ISOA Chapter extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Ray Wolfe who passed away on July 11, 2017. Ray was a long time member of the chapter as well being involved with all aspects of soccer in eastern New York State and the metropolitan area. Congratulations to Brian Dunn on his assignment as assistant referee in last night’s 2016 NCAA Men’s College Cup semifinal game between Stanford and North Carolina. Brian has also been selected for the Men’s College Cup final on December 11, 2016!

Brian has an an outstanding couple of years in MLS (2015 MLS All Star Game), USL (2016 Cup Final) and intercollegiate soccer.

We are very proud of Brian’s accomplishments. He is an excellent representative of our chapter.

Congratulations to NY Metro ISOA Executive Board member, Klaus Mueller on his appointment as State Referee Administrator for Eastern New York. Klaus has served both the chapter and Eastern New York as the Director of Assessment and has been recognized for his work with this prestigious appointment. Congratulations to Klaus. Nabil Al-Saidi Named 2014 NISOA Region II Referee of the Year

Nabil Al-Saidi was recognized at the NISOA Annual Awards dinner on July 18, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas as the 2014 NISOA Region II Referee of the Year. Each year, NISOA selects a member from each region for this prestigious award. The last chapter member to be so recognized was Arnold Klein. The criteria for the award includes:

  • Demonstrating professionalism on and off the field.
  • Willingness to help other officials succeed.
  • Shows a positive attitude towards NISOA programs.
  • Displays outstanding mental and physical fitness.
  • Always wears the NISOA badge with pride.

Nabil is one of the chapter’s NISOA National Referees and continues to represent our chapter in an exemplary manner. He will receive the award at our mandatory annual rules interpretation meeting on August 29, 2015.

NISOA Annual Conduct Certification

NISOA Policy Code 900.37 requires each NISOA member to annually certify their conduct to maintain membership status. NY Metro ISOA members shall make this certification on the certification form in our Policies and Procedures section of the web site.
