MINUTES OF CHAPTER BUSINESS MEETING
November 9, 2015

The annual NY Metro chapter Awards dinner was held this evening.
President John Puglisi welcomed members and guests to this enjoyable event. Awards of sportsmanship and recognition were presented as follows:
Sportsmanship:
4 year colleges: Men's and Women's programs were given to New York University. Awards were accepted by Kim Wyant, coach of the Men's program. She also accepted the Women's award on behalf of Michelle Canning, Women' coach. The Women's team is preparing for the post season bid process.
2 year colleges, Men's or Women's programs: Suffolk County Community College Men's program. Award accepted by Frank Vertullo, Men's coach.
Chapter Recognition Awards:
New Official of the Year: Harlan Grossman
Assistant Referee of the Year: Jiye Zhang
Dennis Botsaris Service Award: Jim Memos
Official of the Year: Mike Godi
Longevity Awards:
35 years: Mark Passiatore
30 years: Randy Vogt
25 years: Alberto Giordano
Randy Vogt presented a special recognition award to Joe Lee, former Coach of St. Joseph's College (Patchogue) Women's program for decades of coaching excellence. He is the three time winner of the Sportsmanship Award.
Remainder of the evening was consumed by dinner, drinks and many "war stories". A good time was had by all.
