MINUTES OF CHAPTER BUSINESS MEETING
November 17, 2014
The Sterling, Bethpage, NY
The chapter held its annual Awards dinner which, this year, commemorated the 50th anniversary of the chapter. The dinner was well attended by members and guests. President John Puglisi after a cocktail hour called the meeting to order at 8:05 PM. John welcomed members and guests and turned the floor over to Secretary-Treasurer and unofficial "padre" Joe Danbusky for the invocation.
After everyone was seated, First Vice-President Randy Vogt presented award plaques to the Sportsmanship winners schools: 4 Year Men: City College of New York, 4 year Women: SUNY Old Westbury, 2 year schools (combined programs): Nassau Community College Women.
John Puglisi and Executive Vice-President Steve Lewin then presented the chapter awards to member officials based upon popular vote of peers:
New Official: Gustavo Aguilar, Assistant Referee: Mike Godi, Dennis Botsaris Service Award: Steve Wowk, Official of the Year: Ken Heller.
All presentations having been made, everyone in attendance enjoyed a delicious meal and the camaraderie of fellow officials.
